Introducing.. Stefani!

Hello all. Someone has been on my tiny little behind to introduce myself to all the cyberspace lurkers. For those of you fortunate enough to not know me, my name is Stefani. I’m a rather in-your-face individual. You can catch me at shows from Canada to Pennsylvania, I kind of go crazy when it comes to catching a good show. “But how will I know it’s her?” you may ask yourself… it’s easy! I’m probably the only 5’11” girl with the show-going Yorkie-poo you will see working up the crowd before a show. The love of my life who accompanies me is named Mr. Bogart. He’s kind of a pimp, so don’t fall in love, he may break your heart. Before Bogleton was with me, I attended shows alone starting at the age of 15. It was a show for a West Virginia-based band called Shindig. They played a show with Difference 88 who later became Rozaline and later became The Diamond Light, with the Florida-based band The Big Screen (they broke up a few months later), and some other band that I didn’t stay to see. I’ve been to a lot of shows since. Although I live in NH, I travel far and wide for a good performance and I won’t waste my time if the experience isn’t worth it. So, if you see me posting about an upcoming show, you can be sure it’s the “happening” place to be and I hope I’ll see you there. I’ll go ahead an apologize now for any and all bluntness anyone will read. I spent 2 years writing reviews from my high school’s paper (at which I also held 2 editor positions). From that, I have learned to be openly critical. In my eyes, if something’s good, then it’s good, and if it’s garbage, fucking toss it in the waste basket where it belong and let my ears be on to newer and better things. I don’t sugar coat anything, so when I give an opinion or a review, you’re getting the truth and not a bribed piece of writing. And I listen to everything, straight-up. So nobody can say “it’s just not her style.” All music is my style. But as I said, garbage is garbage, whether it’s recorded on a piece of plastic or not. Enough of me apologizing, though. I’ll throw out some random info before I end this little diddy. I’m a seamstress and I am going to school for Fashion Design and public Relations. ALSO… I LOVE chocolate covered pretzels, so, if you want to get me to hype you up, you know how to bribe me. I’m a very open person, so feel free to ask me question anytime you feel like. Oh, and because I missed the most important “getting-to-know-you” question… My favorite color is Purple! Ta-ta munchkins!

Introducing.. Ashley!

“I’m unusual, not so typical.” Hey! I’m Ashley and yes I did just quote Hannah Montana. I believe that lyric is fitting for my personality. At the lovely age of 19 I’m a full time student and a hostess at Applebees. Exciting isn’t it? At a towering five feet I’m a bomb of energy always set to go off. Music is one of my passions. I was always that annoying girl who sang three levels higher than everyone else in choir in elementary school. I dropped my choir kick till sophomore year of high school when I joined Musical Theater and Concert Choir. My favorite part of concert choir was the theory behind our pieces. I also adored the feeling of being on stage and taking part in our concert productions. As a present for my 18th birthday my parents got me tickets to Warped Tour and I took a trip with my best friend. I can’t even begin to explain the rush being at Warped gave me. It was my first concert in a way. Prior to that I saw Kelly Clarkson perform in Reno and a free show with Plain White T’s and Boys Like Girls in the parking lot of our local Wal Mart. I knew from the second I saw Relient K stepped onto that stage that I was done for. Concerts were my new drug and I was addicted. Once back home in Nevada I found out that The Cab’s “Why So Serious?” Tour was coming to Reno. While at the show I ran into a girl named Ebony who told me that she was on the street team for a venue in Carson City. By pure chance I happened to be at a Starbucks in Carson a few weeks later when I ran into Ebony again. She informed me that there was going to be a Warehouse (the name of the venue) Street Team meeting at that same Starbucks in a couple of minutes. I decided to hang around and that’s when I joined the Warehouse team. I began to help out at the Warehouse concerts and fell in love. I absolutely can’t explain how much I loved being a part of the ‘behind the scenes’ of our shows. From selling stuff at our snack booth and  taking head counts when doors open to asking too many questions in our sound booth and baking goods for our preshow dinners, I just loved being at the Warehouse. Unfortunately The Warehouse was shut down after a great two years. I was able to get another taste of working a show when I volunteered at the Van’s Warped Tour in San Francisco on June 27th. I worked with the Music for Relief foundation. If anyone ever has the chance to volunteer at Warped Tour I highly suggest that you jump at the chance. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Nowadays I attend 90% of the concerts held in the Carson City/Reno area. I love hearing new bands and meeting new people.

Introducing.. Shannon!

Hey there, cyberspace! I’m known as Shannon to most but we’ll go with Shanthrax (because it’s totally badass). I digg art in all it’s many forms: film, photography, music, drawings, & more. With that said, I’m pretty open minded & don’t judge via genre. My playlist consists of everything from underground hip hop to classic rock and my movie collection contains an odd variety from Larry Clark’s finest to the magical world of Harry Potter. I graduated from Gibbs College with a 3.77 GPA & so far my greatest accomplishment with my Associates Degree in Visual Communications has been using my Photoshop skills to morph my friends into gnarley looking zombies. As of right now, I continue to sling wontons for the same restaurant I’ve worked at for about four years or so while partaking in some freelance work here & there. Discovering awesome new artists is pretty much like christmas morning so I’m super stoked to become part of the Trainwrecks & Cupcakes family!!!
